Monstrosity!
There were only 2 people in the session when I went, including myself, and I am surprised I didn't walk out. 2 friends had told me that they enjoyed it very much and I tired so hard to like it, but after 30-40mins I just sat there completely dumbfounded at what I was witnessing. Rebel Wilson's performance as the pampered cat and those ridiculous mice determined my disdain. I also didn't want to leave the girl sitting several rows in front of me on her own. Shared suffering!
It was just ugly through and through and I have to admit, I wasn't a fan of the stage show. I like cats, but this tale was just too weird, warped and outlandishly turgid. I hated how the actors had their own hands and feet too. They didn't even attempt to make them look like endearing cat paws, even the stage show costumes did a better job, and the sets were just dreary and not even that imaginative. A complete misfire.
