Putting The DCU Under "Popular Movies" Is Out Of Line

Not trying to trigger anyone, just saying my piece.
I enjoy both the MCU and the DCEU.
After 45+ years, I was totally thrilled to see -- with MAN OF STEEL -- the character and his mythos finally given the "straight" science fiction/action-adventure treatment... with no tongue-in-cheek camp.
I never, ever again want to see a character like "Otis" (from the Christopher Reeve films) in a Superman movie.
And if the Avengers start hanging out with a talking, wise-cracking raccoon, then the MCU could well devolve into nothing more than FLASH GORDON (1980) -- only with better FX.
