I went to a lot during the 70s and into the early 80s--but eventually preferred seeing movies indoor because looking through a windshield wasn't as good as seeing it without it.
First movies I think I saw at a drive-in were the Mutations(can't remember it but told we saw it), the Exorcist, and Black Christmas.
I remember seeing the last two.
I fell asleep before Star Wars ended because when they played 3-4 movies a night, the most important one was often last.
Sometimes seeing a movie at a drive-in was too spooky-tended to worry someone would open up the door in back.
