Restaurants opening again in Ontario hotspots, but no alcohol after 9pm + closings at 10pm is a good idea. The buzzed clientele ignoring protocols is what ppl were very wary about.
Toronto Star published a list this wkend of the biggest spreader events in Canada since day zero. Most of those were meat packing & manufacturing plants with close quarter workers, weddings with fucking moron COVIDIOTS, & long term care centres with seniors & staff - which is proving to be the real global catastrophe. Restaurants, bars, salons, haven't really seemed to been contact traced to big numbers. Gyms re-opening here also, but very strict numbers & protocols.
At least now this seems pretty doable through the winter. As for outdoor patios, now places are weighing between thousands of dollars of heating & safety measures and their potential revenues. An establishment with 4 outdoor tables might not pull the trigger for $4000 heating if they can't even see that money through next April.
As for Christmas, I'm actually already finished my shopping lols... not least of all aware of supply chain potential chaos in December, if you see what you want/need, get it now. Even a f'n vistaprint calendar I made for my work, I ordered now because that $9 thing won't be a shipping priority in a few weeks for routine eta.
