Not necessarily true. George Lucas technically co-wrote the screenplay of The Empire Strikes Back since the drafts he wrote alone became the basis for the film before Lawrence Kasdan came along to polish it. Leigh Brackett's screenplay was tossed out, but she was given an arbitrary credit because she died of cancer. The same thing occurred during writing of Return of the Jedi with Lucas writing an outline and draft before Kasdan and others made their contributions. Yeah, keyword CO-wrote. When it's ALL Lucas, it's all bad.
Are you implying he wrote the prequel trilogy by himself? Because that's not true either as the prequel trilogy had a few (some uncredited) writers. Carrie Fisher reportedly did some rewrites on all three films. Jonathan Hales co-wrote Attack of the Clones, and Tom Stoppard polished Revenge of the Sith. So there was never a Star Wars Saga film that George Lucas solely wrote.
