Rockets get: Joel Embiid, CJ McCollum, Blazers lottery protected 2024 1st rd pick.
Blazers get: Tobias Harris, Eric Gordon, sixers unprotected 2022 1st rd draft pick
Without a 3rd team, Harden to Philly is nearly unworkable.
Sixers would be stupid to move Simmons over Embiid, especially in a Harden deal.
I find the whole situation fascinating
When the Sixers were thinking about hiring D'Antoni as coach - I was curious what the team would look like if they played small ball
i.e. - moved Simmons to the '5' and played small ball and surround him with shooters/guards/wings
Ben plus Harden is intriguing. But I also think Joel plus Harden is intriguing.
Is this what you're thinking if they swapped Joel for Harden - you move Ben to the '5' and play small ball or would you roll with starting Horford at the '5' - or are you dealing Horford in another deal?
