Those 2 statements seem to contradict each other. I am not trying to be difficult, I just don't understand. I love easy humor. I refer to it as "cheap" humor. Basically the stuff you "dislike" about it is exactly what I like about it. I suppose I should change that to “I wanted to think it was good...but I still enjoy it.” Yeah I guess we have a different sense of humor. I’d have liked the Grinch to be a little more toned-down compared to the usual Carrey act. I agree with other people that say there is no reason for this movie to exist. Stretching a 30 minute TV special into a feature length movie is going to require a lot of padding and this movie does the padding with parody style humor. It does exist though and I think it is often very funny. The only humor I generally don't care for is spoof movie humor and this is because these movies NEVER take a break. One site gag after another for 90 minutes is usually what those movies are.
