A Black Veil for Lisa aka La morte non a sesso 1968 directed by Massimo Dallamano, an Italian/West German crime movie with a twist. Starring John Mills, Luciana Paluzzi, Robert Hoffmann and others. Set in Hamburg, where an Interpol narcotics detective (Mills) always is one step behind in finding witnesses to crack a case, but he always finds them murdered in the same way. But that is not his only problem, he is also very possessive about his young beautiful wife (Paluzzi) and suspects she is cheating on him, that he eventually hires a hitman (Hoffmann) to kill her. But there is a few interesting twists in the story before the end titles. Not a bad crime movie at all. Had never heard of it before. A bit unusual but good role for John Mills, as he goes from honest to crooked because of jealousy and in the process becomes just as crooked as the crooks he chases. The version I watched had a very clear picture.
