Desperate Hours (1990) / Michael Cimino
This is something of a remake of William Wyler's the classic The Desperate Hours (1955). Although the characters' names have changed and this movie is less stage-bound, Joseph Hayes wrote both screenplays. Here, Humphrey Bogart is replaced by Mickey Rourke (this part was played by Paul Newman in the opening-night stage version); Fredric March by Anthony Hopkins; and Martha Scott by Mimi Rogers.
