It’s the zombie and similar killer alien themed movies. It’s the misunderstood, persecuted hero like John Rambo: just let him do what he needs to save the world and then it will see how great and good and right he was all along. I'm not a fan of Rambo movies or alien movies either... well, I have to make an exception for "Men in Black".  That you’re not a big fan of these dystopian movies is probably also why you’re a social liberal.
