It has nothing to do with any of that, it's about Republicans pandering to the Catholics and Jews in NY, that's it. Conservatives like to portray Liberals as anti-religion and so sacrificing public safety for the convenience of a few bishops and the Jew equivalent helps them make that point. ... except that it is now a nationwide edict and precedent for stupidity in the face of a pandemic!
