From a 2018 Pennsylvania Grand Jury report (reported by CBS & Fox News) A Pennsylvania priest, Thomas Scotek, raped a young girl, got her pregnant, and then that priest arrange for an abortion. The priest’s senior, Bishop James Timlin, expressed his feelings in a letter. The Bishop wrote, “This is a very difficult time in your life, and I realize how upset you are. I, too, share your grief.” Except that the Bishop’s letter was not for the girl. The Bishop wrote that letter to the rapist. When I googled the priest’s name, I came upon an interview where the priest still says Mass mornings in his room. WTF??? Here is a man of God who raped a minor over a four year period. He continued to act as a priest for two decades. He still considers himself a priest, just not an active priest. Skotek was never charged with a crime even though he never contested the abuse allegations. My question for all you Catholics out there: Is Jesus going to let this guy into Heaven? Priests in the Catholic church have a get-out-of-jail card along with elders in the Jehovah Witness cult. In the case of the JW, the rape victim has two choices: continue the abuse or suffer the fate of an apostate. Can't judge for Jesus, but if it was my choice I wouldn't be opening the pearly gates for him.
