If you are a bad team, and your team makes the playoffs and shits the bed, was it your poor division that helped you make the playoffs, or shit the bed?
And if you're a good team, and your team makes the playoffs and goes to the superbowl, was it your poor division that helped you make the superbowl?
What about those years when the Patriots division opponents have good records? Is that still considered a weak division?

All those years there were 3 or 4 other divisions where the division winners had easier divisions than the Patriots.
Good teams in bad divisions benefit from being in a bad division.
If you don't understand that, don't worry about it. There is probably many things you don't understand.
