Manos Hands of Fate. The story behin it is actually rather interesting, a manure sales man makes a bet with someone that he can make a horror movie. I guess he "won" the bet. would you frame it as a dark comedy?. Have you seen the Ed Wood biopic? It would be something along those lines.
