I sound like an old white conservative, which is kind of a racist thing to say, btw. As usual, the guy crying racism is the guy who is actually the most racist person in the conversation. Nothing new there.
Your stupidity is at an all-time high on this argument, and we are seeing this on two different threads on the topic. A team that actually broke down racial barriers is deemed a "racist organization" because of a logo that was considered pretty harmless for decades. And even though said team is now changing the logo, they are still a "racist organization".
And in case anyone else hasn't been given enough examples of your "I'm a progressive who's gonna change your world" bullshit, you actually state that the word Redskin is as awful as the N-word. Maybe the dumbest, and insensitive, thing ever said on this forum.
Keep fighting the good fight, Ray Ray. Maybe eventually the world will be the place you think it should be, though basic human nature says probably not. And for the record, once again, I can safely bet everything I've ever owned that I have had more interactions, friendships, and arguments with blacks, Hispanics, Indians, etc than you ever had in your lifetime.

We're headed in the right direction, which is why you're so pissed off. Last year when this conversation came up, I would've been on this board asking why these team names are acceptable, now I no longer have to. Don't worry, I'll keep expressing my opinion, and progress will happen whether either of us affect it or not. You just keep spouting government conspiracies and social inequality denial, and complaining about content warnings to your heart's content; see where that gets you.

Tell you what, seeing how you have so many more friends and acquaintances of color than I do, why don't you go up to one of your Native American friends and call him a Redskin, then go up to one of your many black friends and call him the N-word, and see if there is any difference in the reaction you get. Beyond stupid.....
I notice now that one of your new tactics when you're being called out for your bullshit is to say basically "what should it matter what I think, this is just an internet chat board?". Okay, that's fine I guess, but then why bother to get involved in any of these discussions? Why should any of us even have conversations like this, why not just focus on talking films, which is why we are all here to begin with? And I see you're STILL worked up because I called you out for being for censorship of films back in a thread from many months ago. Obsess much? I know we'll hear some sarcastic response about this, but I remember the thread. ANY kind of censorship is still censorship, and you seem perfectly fine with it.
And I guess it's possible that by the time you were 8, you dealt with folks of all different ethnicities more than I have in 50 years, but that would also mean that Massachusetts has changed a WHOLE LOT since the time that I lived close by. Either that, or you were brought up somewhere else and I'm not aware of that (my fault). Or you're just lying (your fault).
