Obama’s list wasn’t asked for, it was a tweet that was reported on.

He’s been doing it for a while.

There was a list when he ran for the Presidency, it just didn't catch fire with the public or even his supporters. It only had about 4 films on. One was 'Citizen Kane', another was 'Home Alone 2', but when asked by a reporter about 'Citizen Kane' he didn't seem to know anything about the movie, even though it's his all-time favourite.

yeah it’s sporadic and his favorite books were routinely just Deplorable stuff there’s no way he actually read.

I would argue Obama’s lists don’t hold a ton of weight either.

They’re just part of the curiosities we have with a bunch of celebrities and political ones are a change of pace.
