OT: the new adaptation of The Stand is getting negative to m

I seen the movie before I read The Shining. So it took me a while to warm to the novel. I still love the movie but the book is much better. Nice to see why Jack loses his mind, not just a three second shot of Nicholson staring into space. The Grady Girls were a nice touch. Kubrick souldn't film one of the novel's big scare scenes, the Topiary animals, so he needed another. Those creepy little snots. One touch the book did that was a huge improvement, the axe over the roque mallet. That shiny axe was what sold me on the original trailer
