I actually don't find Bad Santa to be a mean-spirited movie and it is sneaky in how it does have Christmas spirit. It works in all the ways that Scrooged doesn't. Bad Santa totally has a nice Christmas feel at the end. I don't find it mean-spirited at all. Yup. The way that Billy Bob Thornton and the kid help each other is where the heart of the movie is.
