I learned the hard way about carrots and apples ... lost an entire season's crop of carrots

Now I use the BIG fridge for general veggies and the apples live in the 1/2 fridge in the basement.
The carrots froze there and I don't trust the temp ... the apples aren't for all winter storage and seem more forgiving tempwise.
