It was Marlon's feeble attempt at comedy. Well, I take the less fashionable view. I found it funny when I saw it many years ago. Today, you'd have to make allowance for pre-feminist time it was made. From the NY Times when it first opened: "Bedtime Story" is a very funny picture, and Mr. Brando is first-class farceur.
