I wish I never got rid of my vinyl collection. Like so many other things, I felt pressured to get with it, and follow the surge into technological advancement, and out they went so I could follow suit with the newest and hippest devices.
Pisses me off because I caved in against my inner desires/feelings. I'm glad I kept my books. I never got into e-books, and I won't give up my hundreds of pounds of books that have had to be lugged around every time I move.
Those precious trips to the record stores, and rifling through the albums was a treasure. We'd spend forever there and make a day out of it. The album cover was precious. Even the sound of vinyl, the slight crackle that would come through on older vinyl, is so comforting.
