Who will win the NFC East?

Seriously though, I think people would be less offended if the Eagles made a statement to the media before the game.  "Look, this game doesn't mean anything to us.  So as not to put our better players at unnecessary risk, we'll be playing backups."  Teams in the playoffs rest starters, no reason a losing team couldn't do the same thing.  We'd know the Eagles as an organization weren't trying their hardest to win that game, but we'd believe the product on the field was the result of the directly involved parties' (players, coaches) best efforts.  Tinkering with the lineup and making highly questionable coaching decisions toward the end of the game is a step away from your beloved WWE.  People don't watch football for that.
