"is this a tradition for you divtal??
I've heard eating black eyed peas on new years will bring one good luck!"I've been doing black eyed peas on New Year for several years. It's, evidently, a tradition in the US south. I had a colleague who grew up in North Carolina who told us about it, when we were all sitting around talking about food traditions. Someone else who was from Tennessee, agreed. I love bean 'n bacon soups. This year, I used Pancetta, rather than "regular" bacon. It lacked the smokiness that I prefer, so I'll go back to Oscar Meyer next year. It's not clear, to me, if it's important to eat it on NY EVE, or NY DAY, for the luck to kick-in. I've just gone with what was convenient, in the past. I guess I had both nights covered, this year, I should be in good shape "luckwise." After 2020, that's a good feeling. I hope you do have good luck! Our ICU capacities 0%. I pray we don't catch anything.
