In terms of a lottery im completely against it but thats probably because of my disgust for anything the NBA does. On The Ringer NFL Show they brought up an interesting concept. All 32 teams get a chance top pick #1 in the draft but you can't pick #1 again until all other teams have done so. So if you picked #1 next year you can get the chance to pick #1 in 31 years. They said teams would bid on the pick and highest bid would get the pick and do so for all 32 picks. If there were a guy like Lawrence perhaps a team like maybe the Bears who have a decent roster but desperately need a QB maybe that #1 pick is worth more. The whole thing would be a cluster fuck but the idea was interesting to say the least. Bid what? And to who? From my understanding it was owners bidding money to the NFL I guess. Where that money would go? No clue.
