It's a legitimate tactic - if you make an argument that could also be used to endorse the existence of unicorns, it's a sign you need to refine your argument a bit. In this case, you need to say that you have greater reason to believe in God than the mere fact God can't be disproven.

Human beings have a history going back to the dawn of recorded history where most humans believed in a higher power.

Nothing else compares to this.

Using unicorn analogies (or whatever) are strictly employed as smearing tactics.

Keep in mind, I am not asking ANYONE to believe in a higher power.

I want the malicious smearing of billions of people to stop.
