Deftones are OK. They're one of those bands whose discography I went through once and enjoyed for the most part (more "like" than "love") but haven't really felt like revisiting since. Many people whose tastes I respect love them to death, so maybe I should give them another chance. My initial disinterest might've been because it's hard for me to hear past many of the nu-metal cliches. I know they get lumped in the "nu metal" genre, but I always thought of them more as alternative metal (which admitignly is where nu metal derived from). This guy does a pretty good video about if you're interested: I'll add it to my "Watch Later" list.
