I hope the deal will fail for in nine out of ten Southrons did and do not well in Munich.
I guess it is the climate, the environment, the mentality etc. pp....they don't thrive in Germany.
Griezmann is French and much closer to out culture and mentality.
ps: and we hve neither the means nor the prestige to beat ManU.
The Bundeslige is second class. There is a reason why our second tiears have never won the Europa League.
It's not only that Bayern is that good, but that the rest is that bad.
Take Bayern out, and you got zero major titles for the BL since the new millenium.
It will be hard to sign top players if the climate is not as good as in Southern Europe, the culture and language is less poshy, you got less money, and the league has a rather low standing.
And Munich is not even the worst city in Germany and Bayern as club has quite a reputation...but "Ruhrpott"-clubs like Dortmund...they even struggle to keep their top players.
Nah, with the mind set of the DFB and the general attitude agianst the money, we will never overcome Spain or England, and even the FCB can't undo this massive strategic deficits.
We will become what we were in the 80s and early 90s: the dominating team in Germany, but a by-stander in Europe and the really big names will play elsewhere, while Hoeneß, Bruchhagen, Watzke, Rauball, Rummenigge and Co. will cry and lament about the unfairness of the European business. But it is their denial of the reality what keeps us small, not the European business.
ERGO: I couldn't care less who we will sign, for it won't be material like Griezmann (or Sanchez for that matter) but some mediocre players with an assumed top cost-benefit relation - crap.
Schnäppchen vom Wühltisch, die die ganz Großen eh nicht wollten. Da weiß man nicht, ob man weinen oder kotzen soll. Aber auf die ALDI-Mentalität eines Rummenigge wird Verlass sein.
