I think women are under a lot more scrutiny than men. It's as if we have an expiration date or a shelf life. We're reminded of that every time we see actors who divorce their wives (or break up with their girlfriends) only to hook up with younger and younger women.
Look no further than all the requests to post "hot" photos of women as if our value is only our physical appearance. We've nothing more to offer, and when that well runs dry?
It's so sad. Think about the women who are attacked with acid? And here many people complain about simply not being "beautiful enough" when there are so many bigger things going on in the world. As long as we parents raise our boys to worship physicality above all else, this will never end. I know men are visual creatures, but that doesn't mean we can't teach them to expand their mind, or raise our daughters to have greater self-esteem.
