I don't want to put a damper on the thread, but my mom died on my 36th birthday.

A very weird thing to deal with, trust me.

I know it was about 15 years ago, but sorry for your loss.

My birthday is about a week before Independence Day, and 4 days before Canada Day/NHL Free Agency Frenzy... at least those are positive, celebratory things.
