Well, the Left still seem to want to blame all current white people for slavery that took place 200 years ago. Or they just want the long-lasting effects of those hundreds of years of slavery, from systemic marginalization to privilege acknowledged and addressed. A state killing people in your demographic for generations and denying you justice or due process to improve your situation will generally result in a self-defense reaction that should be understood and supported by the citizenry at large--to end the oppression. Being pissed you lost an election despite your best racist voter suppression efforts doesn't really qualify. Thread should be moved to Politics. Interesting though that more blacks voted for Trump in 2020 than in 2016. Maybe they like the systemic oppression that you speak of? Interesting how many blacks in America have achieved so much, isn't it? We've seen a black President, a black Supreme Court member, black Governors, Senators, Representatives, we've seen black astronauts go into space, we've seen black folks on the Forbes 500 list, we've seen black folks win Oscars, Emmys, Grammys, Tonys, we've seen black folks own Fortune 500 companies, run colleges and universities, we've seen black Generals, Admirals, and in high Cabinet positions, we've seen black folks recieve the Presidential Medal of Honor and black folks honored at the Kennedy Center, we've seen black folks achieve all kinds of sports achievements from Olympic gold medals to owning sports teams. Wow, pretty amazing considering the nonstop oppression. Or maybe it's just some folks believe more in individual work and accomplishment than letting group thinking decide their lifes, who knows? Btw, how am I doing on derailing this thread?
