I don't wanna bash Cannon Films (they made some good stuff), but the quality of Cobra is far above what you would usually expect from Cannon IMO. I should rewatch this movie again, I have it on VHS somewhere, but I might get the Stallone Blu-Ray collection, because I don't own any Stallone movies on Blu yet... According to wikipedia, Cobra had a budget of somewhere among 25 million dollars, which compared to their far more usual b-movie action films, such as American Ninja or Missing in Action which were both lying around 1 million dollars. But the fact that it had such a big name like Sly attatched to it, probably had something to do with it. |
