The community has. Almost every gay bar I've been to has had at least one guy in drag. Of course leather bars don't. But it's common in your average gay bar.
And though there is a difference between drag queens and transgender, drag shows are popular in the gay community. So we are more tolerant of cross dressing.
Look at all these gay fools who like RuPaul. I think he should be shot. But he's accepted by most gays.
Drag Queens are predominantly feminine gay guys who don’t have a gender identity disorder. The line blurs and yes, drag Queens are popular in gay hang outs, but is that really the gay community? Straights are dense enough as it is and get the wrong impression of the limp-wristed and effeminate gay. Even you boast about your sense of masculinity.
