As long as it makes money, the series will never conclude. J.J. Abrams said the same kind of malarkey about Rise of Skywalker and yet we have more movies on the way for Star Wars. I don’t think TRoS was ever advertised as the last Star Wars movie. It was merely advertised as the end of the “Skywalker Saga.” In other words, it’s supposedly the last numbered film.
