This is a tough one. Forget about Bond. Hank Aaron is the real HR King. I used to not like him taking away Babe Ruth's record. As I learn more about him and understanding all his achievement, he became one of my most respected person not just a baseball player. RIP. Pretending Barry Bonds isn't the HR king is like pretending the Steroid Era never happened. And that precisely why the Steroid Era happened. "chicks dig the long ball". We watched players hit baseballs further than anyone thought humanly possible. We watched Sammy Sosa go from no more than 15 homers a season to 33 overnight and on the road to the truly impossible, 60 a season twice. No one gave a shit until Jose Canseco's book came out, Then the shit hit the fan. I'm no fan of the juicers for two reasons.
1. They didn't do it to help their teams, they did it to help themselves. Enrich their wallets and enrich their place in the record books.
2. They shit on the record books. No one will ever hit 73 home runs is a season. Might was will be 60 pitching wins in one season.
I’m not sure who this “Barry Bonds” is that you speak of. Sounds like a real a-hole though.
