I remember it was like the greatest thing, back then, when I first saw it along with my friends on VHS, and also the music score or soundtrack had become HUGE, getting played every where. The first few seasons of the show also were incredibly popular, but somehow I lost touch with the show after 2000-01, and did not re-watch or continue on with the many new seasons, until back in 2010. I felt like a complete fool, as I had feared that it would end up in the same way as The Simpsons, where it reached a certain peak period, and then just fell, and fell hard down in quality. But thankfully of what I have seen of the rest of South Park ever since then, have been mostly solid quality and still hilarious as ever. Where as The Simpsons, I could not bother with, expect the first 7-8 seasons.
Sadly, the Simpsons movie arrived 10 years too late. Where as South Park the Movie came at the perfect time, and have held up very well. The Simpsons movie I disliked when it came out, and re-watched it, threw it in the garbage the day after. Not gonna happen with any of my South Park DVDs.
