Am I perhaps the only one who was perplexed by the conclusion? Why let Lionel get away with that culmination of his respective story arc? He knew so much already.
I thought about that too. I felt maybe there was a weariness to Baldwin’s character. While not necessarily expressing regret after that big speech, but perhaps he took Norton at his word and wanted things to die quietly. Big mistake.
