Am I perhaps the only one who was perplexed by the conclusion? Why let Lionel get away with that culmination of his respective story arc? He knew so much already. I thought about that too. I felt maybe there was a weariness to Baldwin’s character. While not necessarily expressing regret after that big speech, but perhaps he took Norton at his word and wanted things to die quietly. Big mistake. Also yeah Bruce might be apathetic nowadays, but feasibly if all he was going to do was show up for a paycheck, why not cast someone like Pitt as Minna, not to mention Pitt could help raise capital to get the whole movie made, and develop Minna more as a character so we get the added weight of the whole death as well.
