The Arrival (1996) is a fun B-movie.
I've finally gotten around to watching Arrival (2016) and must say I'm not impressed. It has some of the dullest cinematography I've experienced in recent times, the great cast is largely wasted, Whitaker and Stuhlbarg have almost nothing interesting to do and the fascinating concept is presented in such a flat and boring way that it almost put me to sleep.
