The Mission: Impossible series, Minority Report, Top Gun, Edge of Tomorrow, Jack Reacher... War of the Worlds (you get rid of the shit with the son and it’s a pretty fuckin good movie that dabbles with greatness).
War of the Worlds has some great moments, but also has some terrible ones. He's not bad in it, and that first act attack sequence is pretty awesome, but the Tim Robbins sequence is stupid and the ending where everyone is just miraculously fine and then Morgan Freeman's voice suddenly pops up to tell us that germs killed the aliens. I know that's more or less accurately adapted from the book in some ways, but it's a shitty way to end the movie.
