An American In Paris: I don't care for the film in its entirety, but I will turn it on just to watch the Ballet. The adagio on the fountain with that soaring trumpet and dramatic lighting is one of the most erotic passages I've ever seen in any movie.
The Bandwagon Astaire and Charisse transform Dancing in the Dark into a sequence of dazzling, elegant simplicity. And no one ever got into a carriage as gracefully as Astaire at the end of the number.
