Inspired by the Favorite dance scene in film? I thought it might be fun to recall/post ones favorite or most memorable singing scenes from the movies. I tried using the search function, as I guess there have been several similar threads/topics been made over the years. But after browsing through 11 pages, not finding one, I just stopped and decided to try and start up a new one instead. One of the first I thought of, when being reminded of great of powerful singing scenes in films, did remember one that I saw last summer, and through the well made/acted british film, The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner (1962). Which I also believe, ended up as one of many other movie themed (in name or characters), Iron Maiden songs. I really liked the film. Maybe even a little more, since I am an avid runner, and there is little as great of having that feeling, when the body and mind works together, to almost "perfection", and you can just run for several hours, without feeling tired or bored. And never really know where you might end up, or how long it might take you, but to have the freedom of just go wherever you want, and not following the clock/rules, just do it your own way, without any stressful situations. Anyway, I guess for the main character, things were pretty much on a whole different kind of a story. Somehow, a few of the scenes/characters, made me think of the gritty 70s british prison drama, Scum, and there is a very powerful singing scene of Jerusalem, in The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner, which I thought would be a nice way of starting out the thread/topic with: As a bonus, I have always loved the little cheerful and sweet duet from Steve Martin and Sissy Spacek in hilarious comedy The Man With Two Brains (1983):
