I like it, but it definitely has writing issues in the second half. I agree that it gets a bit too silly sometimes it also is aimless in some places.
I don't mind Julia Roberts in it and Dustin Hoffman and Robin Williams are awesome in it, though all 3 are miscast to some extent.
What really makes the movie is the technical aspects though and the energy of it all. One of John Williams's best scores and the creation of Neverland is great. Robin Williams arc is handled well too.
