Levar Burton, especially hosting Reading Rainbow which I know was more than just a job to him but he truly had/has a passion for reading.
I watched it every time I saw it on growing up and even after I was well well past the age the books and show was geared to, even the reruns I had seen many times before. After a bad or stressful day, watch some Reading Rainbow was comforting.
Levar had the perfect tone of vouce for a show about reading and imagination. I'm glad they didn't ever continue on with a different host. Just wish they still showed reruns.
Reading Rainbow was the shiz. And I agree, Levar had the perfect voice and demeanor as the host. I also liked him on Star Trek.
