"Pogs, also known as Tazos and Flippos, are round cardboard discs with colorful designs on one side and the pog logo on the other." I had to look it up, too. But that doesn't answer what the word "pog" is, so I'll tell you: "POG" is an acronym, comprising the initials of pineapple, orange, and guava--the juices of which were mixed to make a fruit punch popular in Hawaii, where the practice of collecting "pogs" originated. The wooden discs were the inner parts of the bottle caps of the punch...I believe. Somebody who actually collected those thingies would know that part better than I. Thank you!
