It was pretty much Rams vs Patriots from 2 years ago for most of the games, where it seems the Chiefs (like the Rams) were hellbent on doing what they enjoy doing instead of doing what they should, despite the lack of results, then waking up really late to find that had they switched their game plan earlier they would have had a chance.
Then, you got the Seahawks-Pats ending with the interception right at the endzone.
Screw the game film, make them watch NFL interviews with past champions. Maybe hearing Namath (among others) saying he realized that what he needed to do to win wasn't what he liked the most, will make them click.
