Too young for World War I and too old for WW II. Although he and a few of his pilot friends tried to join up with the Flying Tigers. The US Government wouldn't let them go because they all worked in Defense Plants. He never told me why he got the Tat. It wasn't that big but it was on his forearm and it was of the American Flag. The American Flag? Not bad. And it seems it was a bit tiny and not visible with clothes.
So if he hated ot hatesit then why not removing it once and for all?
Well he died in 1991 at the age of 83.
