Arrested by a U.S. Park Service officer on November 14 at Gateway National Recreation Area in Sandy Hook, NJ.
Springsteen was cited for DWI, reckless driving and consuming alcohol in a closed area.
Springsteen often spoke and also wrote in his autobiography that he enjoyed going to the Gateway National Recreation Area, a barrier split along the Atlantic Ocean with views of the Manhattan skyline in Middletown, a short drive down from his 400-acre horse farm in Colts Neck and Freehold hometown.
The Hall of Fame rocker was "cooperative throughout the process,” Gateway spokesperson Brenda Ling said in a statement Wednesday. Because the arrest occurred on federal property, the case will be heard in U.S. District Court.
