You can't slam the phone down now when you're angry. It used to have an impact that delivered a message to the other person to let them know they hurt you, and they would hear that *SLAM* loud and clear. Message received!
Now when you're on the phone and pissed off and hang up, *click* just doesn't have the same impact.
