As someone with Autism, the casting complaint is so fucking stupid. As for the other complaints, I'll have to watch the movie in order to judge. Quit apologizing to everybody though, especially if you don't actually mean it. I don't need the director of the movie to apologize to me no matter how offensive it is. You made it, own it. What is your opinion on "Rain Man"? Well Raymond has low-functioning Autism, so I can't relate to his character all that much. The noise thing and his obsessive stuff is the only aspect that he has in common with me. I think Rain Man is a great movie and if Raymond was a high-functioning Autistic then I would probably still find it to be a great movie, though the screenplay would need to be changed quite a bit. The movie is from the perspective of a "normal" person, but the movie treats Raymond as a human being with his own personality. The movie purposely makes us care deeply about both characters. Rain Man is a Hollywood movie, not some deep look into Autism and it isn't meant to be.
