St George- well, they've been a train wreck waiting to happen for a while now, and it just seems to gain momentum every year. McInnes opts out for 2022 and then tears his ACL.
Collingwood-atrocious performance in the trade period where they threw Adam Treloar under a bus and didn't particularly care which club collected the roadkill. Unsurprisingly picked up no one because there's no cap room after everyone got signed to long term back loaded deals after the random Grand Final appearance in 2018. Then the President walks out after yet another poor choice of words after the publication of a leaked report finding the club is systemically racist.
St George will be a contender for the Wooden Spoon. Best case would be landing somewhere around 12th.
Collingwood may have enough talent to scrape into the top 8, but I think 11th or 12th is more likely. The team's nowhere near as good on the pitch as on paper.
